IEP Hours is a free information and referral service for New York City families whose child did not receive all the special education services in their IEP.
What we do
- Explain compensatory services in plain English, step by step, in the guides on this site.
- Call families back to understand what their child missed and where they are in the process.
- Refer families to a tutoring provider who may be able to deliver awarded hours, or to people who help families ask for services.
What it costs
Nothing. Our help is free to families, and there is no cost to you, now or later.

We are not the NYC Department of Education and are not affiliated with it. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. We cannot promise any outcome. For advice about your own case, speak to a qualified advocate or attorney.
