Getting an award is only part of the job. Many families end up with an order or an authorization and no provider, and the hours run out.
What families usually hold
- An impartial hearing order that grants a number of tutoring or service hours
- A settlement agreement with the DOE that sets out services
- An authorization to use an independent provider, such as a Related Services Authorization (RSA) for a related service
Finding a provider
The provider must meet your paperwork's requirements, such as a license, rate or billing method. Read the document first, then ask any provider you speak to whether they can work within it.
Where we come in
Tell us what you've been awarded and what your child needs. We'll refer you to a tutoring provider who may be able to deliver the hours, so the time you fought for doesn't go to waste.
